Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

WOW! Easy and decadent. The whole pot was G.O.N.E in about 15 minutes. I found the recipe on the Betty Crocker website, not Pinterest....again.  :) The kids and hubs loved this and asked me to make it again this week. Give it a try!
~Recipe~
1 box triple chocolate fudge cake mix
1 1/4 c water
1/2 c vegetable oil
3 eggs

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray.  Beat the cake mix and ingredients together as directed on box, 30 sec on low and 2 min on high.  Pour the batter into the slow cooker.

1 box (4 serving) instant chocolate pudding
2 cups whole milk
1 bag of milk chocolate chips
Beat the pudding mix and milk for a whisk for 2 minutes.  Pour over batter and do NOT mix.  Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and cover.  Cook on low for about 2 1/2 hours, until cake is set and pudding is bubbly. I put vanilla ice cream on it.  It's very chocolaty and it needs something to cut the richness, cool whip or whipped cream would be awesome, too!    Enjoy~

S'mores cake

Yum! I was looking through recipes to try that I had in my piles and this looked like a great dessert. We were getting things rounded up for school to start today and I did not want to spend all afternoon in the kitchen so I threw this together and it was a hit! Smells good while baking as well.
~Recipe~
1 box chocolate cake mix, all the ingredients on the box as well. I used Devils Food.
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
graham cracker crumbs or whole graham crackers

Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray.  Make batter as stated on the box and pour into slow cooker.  Cover, cook on high for 2-21/2 hours.  Turn off cooker and put the marshmallows and chocolate chips over the top and cover for 10 minutes. Spoon warm cake and serve with graham crumbs or squares. Easy and yummy! Enjoy~

Snickers Cake

Ok! Ok! OK! here it is!! I have had several messages since I posted the pic on Facebook to get the recipe out....NOW!! It is good....It is fattening....It is full of yummy-ooey-gooey-goodness....BUT it is a doctored box cake...BOO! I did some changes and I made my own Devils food cake from scratch but the easy and quicker way is to use a box mix.  I had the time so I went ahead and made te long version, it will be good with the box as well, I am certain!
~Recipe~

1 box devils food cake mix, plus ingredients to make the cake *or your own version of chocolate cake*
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar Smucker's hot caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tub of cool whip 3 snickers candy bars, chopped
1/3 cup peanuts, chopped
caramel sauce
chocolate sauce

Bake cake in a 9x13-inch pan according to direction on the package.

While cake is baking, mix condensed milk and hot caramel topping until well blended. *This is a dangerous combo by itself*. When the cake is done and while it's still hot, poke holes in it with the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour milk mixture over the cake. Allow cake to cool completely. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake.
Mix the chopped snickers*I put mine thru the food processor* and coolwhip and spread cake.  Top wth chopped peanuts, I used honey roasted...ya know....for that ADDED sweet.... then drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauces. EAT! YUM! Enjoy~

1 c white sugar
1/4 c evaporated*not condensed* milk
2 (7 ounce) jars of marshmallow cream

1 tsp vanilla

~Caramel Layer~
1 (17 ounce) jar of caramel

~Candy bar topping~
1 1/4 c chocolate chips
1/4 c peanut butter

Prepare the brownies(whichever you choose) and add the 1/4 cup hot fudge topping, unheated and straight from the jar to the batter.  Cool the brownies completely.

Melt the butter in saucepan over med heat.  Add sugar and milk and stir until completely dissolved then bring to a boil.  Add in the marshmallow cream, peanut butter and vanilla.  Stir this until smoooooth and delish.  Turn off heat and fold in peanut chunks.  Pour over cooled brownies and stick these into the freezer for 15-30 minutes.

Heat the caramel over low heat until easy to pour.  Pour over the nougat  layer and spread as far over the cake as you can, evenly. Again stick in freezer for 15-30 minutes.

Melt the chips and peanut butter together in a small pan over low heat, stir this so it incorporates well and gets smooooooth. Pour this over the cooled caramel and spread completely.  Put 'em in the fridge to cool.....set them out for about 5 minutes brfore you cut them.  Devour! Enjoy~

This is so easy! I came across it on Pinterest....I have not had luck with a lot of the recipes on there.  This one was a hit and I have made a different version already.  These are great for a snack or a light dessert.  I made 1 batch to see how they would turn out, and as is the norm at my house lately, I had 4 extra boys eating.... so I ended up making 3 extra batches!
Easy and so good!

~Recipe~
1 tube of cresent rolls
peanut butter
chocolate chips

Roll our the crescents and spread peanut butter on them and sprinkle chocolate chips on top, roll up from the big end to the little end and bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes....Enjoy!

4 eggs
1/3 c veg oil
1/2 c whole milk
1/2 c pink lemonade concentrate
red food coloring

Glaze for bottom~
1 cup thawed pink lemonade concentrate
1/2 c white sugar
Mix well together.

Topping~
1/4 c butter
2 c powdred sugar

Melt butter and add to the sifted powdered sugar, add 2 Tbsp cream and vanilla and beat until smooth.  If you like it creamier, add a little more cream until you like it.  Add your food coloring until it is the pink you like. Drizzle over cooled cake.

Preheat your oven to 350 and prepare a bundt pan with cooking spray with flour, set aside.
Combine the cake mix, pudding, eggs, vegetable oil, 1/2 c lemonade concentrate and milk and beat well to combine.  I beat mine for 2 minutes then added the food coloring to a pink color then beat again for 30 seconds. Pour into the prepared pan and bake 50 min-1 hour.  Watch the top and if it gets to dark cover the edges with foil. Remove the cake when done and immediately prick the cake with a fork all over and pour the lemonade and sugar mixture all over it.  Let it cool in the pan until almost all the way cool.  Turn the cake over on a wire rack with a cookie sheet under it and let cool completely. Drizzle the topping over the cooled cake.....Enjoy this Summery dessert!

Strawberry Shortcakes

I found some wonderful strawberries the week, due to Valentine's Day and what better way to devour them than a yummy shortcake and whipped cream concoction? They were so fresh and flavorful....the whole family ate them and LOVED them!
~Recipe~
2 16 ounce containers of fresh strawberries, cut in quarters
3/4 cup sugar, divided
1/4 tsp almond extract (YUM)
1 cup whipping cream
2 Tbsp sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
3/4 cut cold butter
2 lightly beaten eggs
1 8 ounce container of sour cream(full fat)
1 tsp vanilla

Combine the quartered strawberries with sugar to taste, mine were really sweet so I used less than 1/4 cup. Add the almond extract, cover and let sit for 2 hours.

Whip the cream on medium speed until frothy, gradually add the 2 Tbsp sugar and beat until soft peaks form.  Cover and chill...(this is so fresh and yummy you will want to eat it with a spoon, just make sure no one is looking!)

Mix the flour, baking powder and 1/4 cup sugar*I whisk it quickly* Cut the butter in with a pastry blender or 2 forks until crumbly.  Whisk the beaten eggs, sour cream and vanilla, add to the flour and mix until just moistened.  Drop dough by 1/3 cupfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Coat the 1/3 cup with veg spray for easy dropping.  BAke for 12 minutes at 450 degrees.

Out these together by cutting the shortcakes in 1/2, top with strawberries then cream then the top, add more strawberries if you want! Enjoy~

Snickerdoodle bars

I am sure there are thousands of Snickerdoodle blondie recipes out there.  This is the 2nd recipe I have tried and this one is by far the WINNER!! I made them last week and they lasted 30 minutes.  Brenn had friends over after the basketball game and baseball tryouts on Saturday...they asked for these bars....so I whipped them up.....they were devoured.  Everyone loves them! They are so easy and especially good when kind of warm! I did not wait the hour for them to cool. YUMMY!
~Recipe~
2 1/3 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c butter, softened
1 1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp white sugar mixed with 1 Tbsp cinnamon

drizzle~ 1 c powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla....mix well and drizzle over the cooled bars

Heat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 pan.  Toss together the flour, baking powder and salt. Breat the butter until creamy on high then add the sugars and beat.  Add the eggs and vanilla slowly and mix til combined.  On low(so it doesn't fly all over the place) beat the dry ingredients until combined. Press 1/2 the batter evenly in the bottom of the pan.  This is my LEAST favorite part of this type of recipe....sometimes I don't want to make them because of the pressing...but these are worth the work!! Sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture all over the dough and drop the rest of the dough in teaspoonfuls all over the pan.  Bake 20-25  minutes or until golden and tester comes out clean. Cool 1 hour and drizzle the glaze over the cake....YUM! Enjoy~
