Snickers cake

Holy Calories Batman! This cake takes a long time to do each layer but it is definitely worth it.  The 1st pan I made was eaten by 5 boys with forks....it is so rich and heavy I don't know how they played basketball afterwards.

~Recipe~
1 box of brownie mix*or your favorite brownie recipe* I used my moms brownie recipe*
1/4 cup of hot fudge topping straight from the jar, unheated

~Nougat layer~
1/4 c unsalted butter
1 c white sugar
1/4 c evaporated*not condensed* milk
2 (7 ounce) jars of marshmallow cream
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cup salted peanuts, roughly chopped
1 tsp vanilla

~Caramel Layer~
1 (17 ounce) jar of caramel

~Candy bar topping~
1 1/4 c chocolate chips
1/4 c peanut butter

Prepare the brownies(whichever you choose) and add the 1/4 cup hot fudge topping, unheated and straight from the jar to the batter.  Cool the brownies completely.

Melt the butter in saucepan over med heat.  Add sugar and milk and stir until completely dissolved then bring to a boil.  Add in the marshmallow cream, peanut butter and vanilla.  Stir this until smoooooth and delish.  Turn off heat and fold in peanut chunks.  Pour over cooled brownies and stick these into the freezer for 15-30 minutes.

Heat the caramel over low heat until easy to pour.  Pour over the nougat  layer and spread as far over the cake as you can, evenly. Again stick in freezer for 15-30 minutes.

Melt the chips and peanut butter together in a small pan over low heat, stir this so it incorporates well and gets smooooooth. Pour this over the cooled caramel and spread completely.  Put 'em in the fridge to cool.....set them out for about 5 minutes brfore you cut them.  Devour! Enjoy~

Peanut butter and chocolate filled crescent rolls

This is so easy! I came across it on Pinterest....I have not had luck with a lot of the recipes on there.  This one was a hit and I have made a different version already.  These are great for a snack or a light dessert.  I made 1 batch to see how they would turn out, and as is the norm at my house lately, I had 4 extra boys eating.... so I ended up making 3 extra batches!
Easy and so good!

~Recipe~
1 tube of cresent rolls
peanut butter
chocolate chips

Roll our the crescents and spread peanut butter on them and sprinkle chocolate chips on top, roll up from the big end to the little end and bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes....Enjoy!

Pink Lemonade Pound Cake

Hello Summer! We love pink lemonade and this seemed like a winner.  It is a heavy cake with the ingredients, bottom addition of  soaking glaze plus the top glaze. It was moist and yummy! You won't be disappointed!
~Recipe~

Cake~
1 package lemon cake
1 3 ounce package instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
1/3 c veg oil
1/2 c whole milk
1/2 c pink lemonade concentrate
red food coloring

Glaze for bottom~
1 cup thawed pink lemonade concentrate
1/2 c white sugar
Mix well together.

Topping~
1/4 c butter
2 c powdred sugar
2 Tbsp cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
red food coloring
Melt butter and add to the sifted powdered sugar, add 2 Tbsp cream and vanilla and beat until smooth.  If you like it creamier, add a little more cream until you like it.  Add your food coloring until it is the pink you like. Drizzle over cooled cake.

Preheat your oven to 350 and prepare a bundt pan with cooking spray with flour, set aside.
Combine the cake mix, pudding, eggs, vegetable oil, 1/2 c lemonade concentrate and milk and beat well to combine.  I beat mine for 2 minutes then added the food coloring to a pink color then beat again for 30 seconds. Pour into the prepared pan and bake 50 min-1 hour.  Watch the top and if it gets to dark cover the edges with foil. Remove the cake when done and immediately prick the cake with a fork all over and pour the lemonade and sugar mixture all over it.  Let it cool in the pan until almost all the way cool.  Turn the cake over on a wire rack with a cookie sheet under it and let cool completely. Drizzle the topping over the cooled cake.....Enjoy this Summery dessert!

Summer Peach Cake

Peaches are in season!! YAY!! I love to use peaches in my baking.  This is a new recipe I came across and tried this afternoon.

~Recipe~

1/2 c sugar, divided
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
dash of salt
3/4 c butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp white rum or water
3-4 peaches skinned and sliced
3 Tbsp butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 peach preserves
1 Tbsp hot water

In a bowl mix the flour, 1/4 c sugar, salt and baking powder.  Add egg and rum or water and mix into a ball.  Press into a 9x13 baking pan.  PLace sliced peaches on top of dough.  In a small sauce pan, melt the butter and add the cinnamon and nutmeg along with the 1/4 remaining sugar.  Stir and pour over the peaches.  Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.  Mix the preserves with the hot water and brush over the top of the finished cake.  Easy! Enjoy~

Cupcakes Galore

Here is a sample of the sweet treats I made for a great friends little girl Ava's birthday party.  Princess Ava turned 4 and we had 4 flavors and 4 dozen cupcakes! They were a hit! The flavors were chocolate chip, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. The kids and adults ate them! YUM!
Cupcakes are so much fun! I am having a blast working at a cupcake shop! They are easy treats to make and throw anything in them and pile rich and creamy frosting on the top! Who doesn't love cupcakes?
