Apple Crisp

Comfort dessert...this is my grandmothers recipe. This is good with caramel caribou ice cream with a little caramel drizzled over it or vanilla ice cream....a true American classic!
4 medium tart cooking apples(peeled and sliced)
1/2 butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup cooking oats
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice

Spread apples over the bottom of an 8X8 cooking pan.  Melt butter and add remaining ingredients.  Mix until crumbly and sprinkle over apples.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until apples are tender. I always double the topping...YUM! Enjoy~
